Zone can hold up to one third of items stored in the
kitchen! Considering this large amount, planning space
for this zone is especially important as is easy access
and comfort. This zone is used to store non-foodstuffs.
It is mainly used for kitchen utensils, cutlery, dishes
and glasses. For ergonomic reasons, it even makes sense
to store often-used dishes in the pull-outs of the lower
cabinets instead of the top cabinet. By the way, this
Zone is next to the Cleaning Zone because it makes putting
dishes from the dishwasher away very efficient!
Items found in the Non-Consumables Zone include Dishes,
Cutlery, Odds & Ends, Plastic Containers, Glasses,
Dessert Bowls, Coffee Cups, Mugs, Saucers, Seldom-Used
