December 1, 2006, New Holland, PA – Heritage Custom Cabinetry, design innovators and the manufacturer of high-end custom cabinetry for almost 30 years, announces the introduction of ZONACucina™, the first system of its kind to be introduced by an American manufacturing company. Its sleek European styling, zoned cabinet space, imperial measuring units (inches vs. centimeters), and innovative storage solutions provide designers with an impressive and creative design option for the consumer.

ZONACucina™, which means kitchen space in Italian, is based off a 5-Zone approach to organizing and designing kitchens. The five zones, which were created based on extensive research, follows the premise that consumers group items in places that they are most frequently used. The 5-Zones utilized by ZONACucina™ are Consumables, Non-Consumables, Cleaning, Preparation and Cooking. These five zones, when used in a kitchen design, literally cut down on the footsteps a consumer takes in the kitchen. The 5-Zone approach also allows the designer to really customize their client’s kitchens based on their individual needs while optimizing efficiency and organization. Another feature with ZONACucina™ by Heritage Custom Cabinetry is the ergonomic benefits of the system. ZONACucina™ allows the designer to plan kitchens that make time spent in the kitchen more enjoyable. The ZONACucina™ system, which incorporates drawer base cabinets for storage, eliminates kneeling, stretching and leaning into dark cabinets to search for hidden items. Full extension deep drawers significantly improve access, and the use of stainless steel drawers provide an excellent overview of the contents.
